Static shocks.

Been getting the odd electric shock off the car door after a drive. As I've never experienced it before I've assumed it's static, presumably built up from the hot weather we've been having.

Anyone else noticed similar?

New shoes yes, but I wear nothing made of nylon. Ironically when I have wore nylon there's never been any shocks.

Swap shoes as an experiment

Hold on to the metal frame of the car before getting out and touching the ground. Often it stops the spark from actually jumping. I always get static shocks from mine due to my work uniform, so when I go to a petrol station I ensure I do this to reduce the risk of sparks. Normally just hold on to the door as I step out, until both feet are on the floor.

I've occasionally worn trainers recently due to a foot injury. Without fail whenever I do, I get a static shock when I grab the door to close it.

Always get them off shopping trolleys and nothing else.

Might be time for a revival of those static straps which look like a bit of seal has come loose.
