date of v5 does not match dvla

I just did a hpi check and this came up, everything else is clear.

Ive checked the dvla website and the v5 date matches the date of first registration so why would it say it was wrong?

If the v5 says the same issue date as the dvla says first registered is it a fault on hpi's end??

DVLA are the exerts on such cases. It could be an error it could be the DVLA are at fault it could be the HPI at fault. Only way to find out is to address your questions to those bodies. It is unusual and possible importation or registration change in the past might be the gremlin. But unless the OP researches the case I think clarification is unlikely.

Do they mean "First reg date" doesn't match, or do they mean that the V5C you have isn't the latest issued?
