Someone please help, will this rust fail MOT?

I got to removing the awful cloth rear arch liners In my car yesterday as my arches had just started bubbling. Bear in mind it passed last MOT in March just fine needing a bit of welding underneath but in the driver footwell. The tester also noted the rear brake pipes had slightly corroded but were okay but he never mentioned this rust in the advisories but the liners were in then so he may not have seen this. Anyway here are the pictures





Now there is no rust up by the strut mounting that would compromise the structure of that, but I'm a little worried this would fail. It is flaky and if I knocked it with a screwdriver, I reckon it would flake off. Anyone know how to clear this up, any products rust converter or something if so which one?

Would be fine for mot, just looks like a bit of surface rust.

Also, if the liner is in position then the tester can't see it anyway they don't have x-ray vision

As mentioned will be fine, to treat it buy some Kurust and a can of stonechip spray from Halfords, scrape off the flaky bits with a screwdriver, if you are keen go over it with a wire brush in a drill, paint the Kurust on, leave to dry then go over with the stonechip.

Wont totaly cure the rust but it will slow it down for a while.

haha was waiting for the car guess, yeah it's a fiesta it's like ford put those cloth liners there on purpose....problem is I've taken the liners the tip because they were covered in crap. Previous owner not really looked after it, the rust is very flaky though more than surface I'd say

Yeah I intend to keep it for while so if there's any alternative that will get rid completely or near enough then I don't mind getting my hands dirty. Think i'll knock it all out put some converter stuff on it see if that does anything
