Looking For a New Daily

Hello,

I have an Alfa Romeo that I have as my project car

I'm looking to replace my daily car that I have at the minute

So looking for some advice and pointers,

I have around £5000 to spend on a daily car

Don't want anything to mad as need to use it for work and back,
I don't live far from work 5mile if that so that's not a worry

I have been thinking about

-Volkswagen Golf Mk5 GTi
-Honda Civic EP3 Type R
-Mazda 3 MPS

Along the lines of them has anyone owned any of them and can give me some advice,
Or what other cars are out there for the money ?

"An Alfa Romeo" could mean virtually anything. As could "project". Without knowing the real context it's difficult to comment.
