I'm considering bringing a 1968 Citroen DS over from France. What's involved?

When you get it here...
- MOT on VIN/French plate*
- Insure on VIN/French plate
- V55/5
- £55 (IIRC)
- HMRC NOVA certificate

• This might be the entertaining bit. The French CT is considerably less stringent than the UK MOT in all sorts of ways when it comes to structural repairs...

Unless you REALLY know your way around Ds, I'd be very tempted to get one already here from a reputable source. There's several very good specialists in the UK. When people tell you "Buy the best you can afford" - a D is the car they're thinking of.

Oh, and join the Citroen Car Club. Talk to the D people in the club. They will become very, very valuable to you.
