Wrapping interior trim

I was hoping for some advice about wrapping the interior trim on my SL55.

It currently has horrid cheap tin foil looking aluminium :



(not my car)

The silver center console and side trim on the doors looks horribly cheap and really lets the interior down.

So I was hoping to cover it in some sort of wrap, and came across the following:

It looks like a good quality product, but there's little other info I can find online. Has anyone used this or another similar product, and if so, what were the results like?

Speaking from experience of having an R230 SL like yours with a carbon wrapped dash...don't bother, a few hours with the roof down and the sun shining will create fade and it'll sag looking stter than when you started, if you must do anything get it sprayed gloss black by a local bodyshop or have it carbon dipped

That's not my car, my car is grey/black leather. It was the best pic I could find to illustrate the silver.

Although berry red would have been my first choice had I been able to find black on red! I think it doesn't photograph well.

So the wrapping is not recommended... I wonder how much a bodyshop would charge - any ideas? I'll give a couple a call next week.

i your just wanting to change the colour you should look into hydrodipping
