Cleaning Mould/Grime

My Saxo has unpainted textured plastic rub strips down each side which have a nice layer of green mould and general grime along the top edge which has a very good grip on the surface.

I washed the car today and tried to rub the stuff off but couldn't budge it, also tried a small brush which did nothing.

I'm thinking maybe tar remover might loosen it off?

Any suggestions?

Pressure washer, it'll strip it right off

Renovo is great at dissolving green fungae from Cabrio roofs. If you feel strongly enough about it try some of that (about £15 a litre)

I'm surprised. A nylon nail brush or washing-up brush used with some decent detergent have always worked very well for me.

Spray the area with a citrus pre-wash or strong multi-purpose cleaner, leave for a few minutes then pressure wash off.
