Must see roads / places driving from UK to Northern Italy.

Any recommended routes / must see's would be much appriciated.

Well you've got any number of Alps passes for a start.

Just got back from Tuscany - turn off onto any of the lanes and it's quiet twisty driving heaven! Just a shame I was driving a fully-loaded MPV at the time...

Were in Switzerland at the moment, but at one point we used the pass that goes to Davos, on our journey from Austria and it would have been easy to go onto Northern Italy
It was very, very twisty, and went very high but tbh it was pretty busy with a lot of bikes and quite a few cars. I imagine a lot of these type of roads are like this during the summer.

There's so much to recommend, it depends on what route you want to take there and back; if you can fit them in, any/all of the following:
The old circuit at Reims - very evocative; grandstand and pits still almost 'as they were'.
Driving on part of the Le Mans 24h circuit. We stumbled upon it by accident the first time and couldn't quite believe it.
The A75 autoroute to the South of Clermont-Ferrand - an outrageous motorway with real corners!
The Millau Bridge.
The Route Napoleon - Grasse - Gap - Grenoble; marvellous!
Almost any of the Alpine passes, but these tend to be a bit too 'point and squirt' between hairpins for me.
Col de Turini for its association with the Monte Carlo Rally.
Streets of Monaco for that F1 moment.
Any of the back roads in Tuscany; find some that the Mille Miglia uses, they are fantastic. The quickest thing we saw in Italy was a housewife in a hurry coming down the Raticosa Pass in an elderly Panda with a bairn in the back. Unreal.
