Banned for stopping at traffic lights and accelerating quickly, a bit harsh. Very unlikely they are going to lose control and crash.
People accelerate quickly off the lights every day, I see this everyday on the commute! Mr A6 2 litre TDi quattro proving how quick off the line his big fancy looking S-line car is, when in reality it is very slow for a car that size.

I have to say I thought the same, not much to the video. The only thing that makes it potential "dangerous" is the people at the side of the road. Escy said:

If the reporting is to be believed the police were only aware of it from the stuff uploaded to the web. It's a bit like that motorcycle gang in NYC that included at least two police officers chasing down that Range Rover and beating the driver to a pulp in front of his wife and kid incriminating themselves with the video they uploaded to the Internet.

In an article elsewhere, I think it's the local chronicle, it does say that the footage shown is only what has been released by Police. That suggests to me that there's a lot more footage not released. That could be the incriminating stuff and I know a few media officers who wouldn't release the meaty stuff because of the morons who try to emulate it. You'll always get the idiots who think that the F&F movie franchise is a documentary.
