Wanted - 2 seat, thirsty, evil.

What car, with a difference.

Looking for a 2 seater (or 2+2) with road presence and a big engine. Quite honestly it doesn't matter if it drinks.
I am well over 6 foot and not thin, so would have to keep that in mind.
Unfortunately I am based in the US, so some of the smaller car companies are somewhat impractical.
Only really interested in British or German cars...

Any ideas?

This is basically what I would go for if parts here were not so very hard to get hold of.

No he didn't.

TVR's were not available in the US after the mid 80's.
I think there is a 25 year rule for importing so a Griff may be possible soon. There are one or two Tuscans that came in through dubious methods with a Mk 2 2005 model selling in Las Vegas for $298,000,- !!!
Otherwise I don't think you have a chance on any of the later T cars.

Gordon Keeble- a truly classy car with wonderfully edgy 60s style.Not likely to meet too many others either.V8 power, 4 seats and depreciation proof. More subtle boulevardier needed ? Bristol 409.

I don't think it is thirsty compared with other suggestions but the running costs are certainly not cheap. The reason I didn't go for one myself is the automatic transmission otherwise I think it would be close on perfect.
