I know this looks like my first post, but it isn't. I just lost my old account.
A previous thread led to me buying my 56 plate Fiesta ST. I have loved it for two years but now fancy something a little different. Bit tired of the boy racer image as well as the road noise, random squeaks and harsh ride.
Budget is 8k max. That is assuming I get a somewhat decent offer on the Fiesta. No moon miles as I am probably the least mechanically competent person you will meet.
Current ideas are:
C30 T5 - Seem to be rare so finding a good one has been an issue.
Focus ST 2.5 - Boy racer image still, not sure the ride would be any more comfortable than my fiesta.
Mazda 6 2.5 - Slower than the Fiesta but comfortable and still has some go. An older MPS has been considered.

8k max - comfortable - reasonably nippy - no ancient / high mileage cars.
