Grr. I can't have a manual Rover P6B as they didn't come out until 1971. And I would like a Triumph 2.5 PI but it would be churlish to nick that from Triumph Man as he started the thread. So I shall have to sacrifice a little space and have one of the following depending on wealth level. You will note that they all have four round headlamps, which as far as I am concerned is compulsory in all desirable 1970 metal.
If I have not got much money in our fantasy world I can make do happily with a Manta A
If I am doing quite nicely financially I could probably afford to run a new Alfa GTV 1750.
If I get lucky I might be able to afford to run a new Dino Coupe.

I like the idea of an Interceptor too (one of the coolest cars ever IMHO) but they weren't that reliable even when new were they?
I quite like these too. A bit like an Interceptor but cheaper...
...and just as unreliable, perhaps more so!
A Karmann Ghia would be nice but perhaps too slow?
Sadly I'm too late for a mk1 Lotus Cortina, so I guess it will have to be a mk1 Escort Mexico/RS1600 (not sure on my dates but think I'm too early for an RS2000)
or a BMW 2002ti (too early for a turbo I think but I obviously must like classic BMWs as I chose an E21 in the 1980 thread)!

I'm not a Range Rover sort of person but I completely understand why some people are. I suppose the only other things that give you steadily updated versions of the same basic experiences in 1970, 1980 and 1990 are the Jaguar XJ, Merc S-Class, Porsche 911 and Morgan Plus 8.70s: Range Rover.

90s: Range Rover.
