Personally I feel the article is shifting the blame onto the modified Golf owner for a bad installation of his air ride suspension, which to me seems unfair. Cars can breakdown at any time for any number of reasons. The car would have been just as much in the way if it had a flat tyre for example.

Surely crashing into a broken down car with hazard lights shows a lack of observation or going too fast for the conditions.

Either way it’s a tragic accident whoever was to blame.
