Funny to see that it was only on sale for three years after the eons that the awful Marks 3 and 4 were available.
Maybe it is because I struggle with the idea of regarding a car purchase as an investment that I find the following sentences as some of the most incomprehensible I have read yet on Pistonheads (whereas I totally understand the sentiments behind man-maths...):
'But current limited demand has an upside - according to Rupert Pontin, Chief Car Editor at Glass's. "VW Golf GTI Mk3 depreciation was bottomed out and values are now upwardly mobile." Time to invest in a Mk3 perhaps?'
Surely if you do require an investment there are less utterly miserable cars available than a Mk 3 GTI...?
