I remember a lad on the RSOC way back when claiming that he knew "a VIP at Ford HQ" that had confirmed to him that the Mk2 would definitely be 4WD. Loads of people told him he was spouting nonsense but he was adamant it would be 4WD. Funnily enough he never came back to the forum once the car was confirmed as being FWD
