Hi,

I changed jobs and moved house early this year and so sadly my beloved 350z became confined to my driveway and was SORN'd. I think it's time to flog her now, but with the upcoming road tax changes I'm not sure what to do? If I manage to sell itbefore the rules changes come in (October?), will the buyer be able to use the tax that I sell it with as usual? Is there any point in me going for a 12 month over a 6 month tax right now in the light of the rule changes?

Cheers

Rich

The only change is the requirement to show a paper disc in the windscreen.

If you tax the car before selling the new owner will benefit from it.

If you don't, they will need to tax it before driving it away.

and they won't be able to test drive it unless you have trade plates

Any tax you put on the vehicle before October will still be valid for the duration of the disc. If you leave it until after October you'll have to faff about with claiming the tax back.

I don't suppose you're looking for a 205 GTI or Audi A3 TDI are you? I'm looking to get into a 350Z once I sell my current stable!
