The wife has decided she wants to replace her panda with an MX5 with a folding metal roof

a few minor issues

1 I wash cars rarely and in a way that will make detailing nerds cry
2 We live at the end of a 1/4 mile muddy track
3 We have dogs which jump up at car doors with muddy paws
4 We have trees which are full of crapping birds and insects
5 We have chickens who consider car bonnets to be a fun thing to slide down

Basically we will turn the paintwork into a complete mess

Frankly we don't care

However at some point we might sell the car

So i am considering a wrap for it for the following reasons

1 mazda standard colours are dull, dull, dull or very dull and the wife loves a bright neon green one that she has seen
2 it might protect the paint

So how well will a full body wrap protect the underlying paint?

How long will a wrap last?

How much would it cost for an MX5 to be wrapped professionally?

Will the wrap effect any warranty?

= well!

How long will a wrap last?

= providing it's done properly, it should be good for a number of years.

How much would it cost for an MX5 to be wrapped professionally?

= Varies significantly, speak to someone like Paintshield for an accurate quote.

Will the wrap effect any warranty?

= Not that I'm aware of.

I think he meant it will protect it well, make sure to make your insurance aware of it, as it is classed as a modification also.

If you want a cheaper option and dont mind "Matte" colours, plastidip is a good option, can look tacky though.
