If it changes with electrical signal though, how does that work on the plastic bumpers / trim?!
Anything with 'para' in the name is, in most cases, to be taken with a large helping of salt.
C.A.R, I'd guess that if it does exist the current would be passed through the iron oxide so the material it's applied to wouldn't matter too much.
There is another type of paint that luminesces when a current is applied but I forget what it's called so can't give a link.
