Due to health related reasons, I'm not able to spend two + hours hand washing my car. This hasn't previously been an issue as I've had quite old cars that I would take for a £5 wash once a month and not worry if it picked up some light scratches

I now have a car to be proud of and want to look after well but I'm wondering what my options are. Would be good to find somewhere trust worthy to take it once every couple of weeks for a proper clean, polish and wax. Can anyone recommend somewhere in West Yorkshire? These hand car washes have sprung up everywhere but I imagine there are very few that take the care you would like given the wages they are earning but on the other hand I can't afford to be taking it to a professional charging £100-150 a time

I wouldn't assume the cheap hand car washes all use Brillo pads and urine - I've used two staffed by Eastern Europeans and both were happy to see something more interesting and did a good job. Both knew not to wash the roof on the Chimaera, for example. Maybe one near you comes recommended?

Check the sign on the way into town - it'll tell you which one it is.

Why not have a look on http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ forum and see which mobile details cover your area, many offer a weekly / monthly car wash service

I think getting David Cameron to do it is a bit overkill.

Bottom line is they use pressure washers up close and when they drop a mitt they pick it back up and use it.

As someone said go to detailingworld for advice

Don't ever use a hand car wash no matter how many times you have used them before, it only takes once to make a costly mistake!

If you find a local good Detailer even they can offer reasonable safe wash services from as little as £10 depending on how often you use them. Again detailers world would be best, you may need to pay a higher charge first time getting the car up to par but moving forward maintenance washes are reasonable.
