Aren't they just cars that have been brought over from Ireland?

It's a Northern Irish plate on a car being sold in, er, Northern Ireland.

A better question would be "why have they taken the front plate off?" wink

You mean Northern Ireland.

If it's nearly new I would say it's quite likely to be ex hire car.

BTW DVLA will put a mainland plate on it FOC, also works vica versa

From my experience cars in NI are a couple of hundred more expensive.

Just how retarded are you?

Its a NORTHERN IRELAND reg on a NORTHERN IRELAND car being sold in NORTHERN IRELAND.

This may come as a surprise to you but the world doesnt revolve around england.

And to have UK in your name, you seem to know very little of what its made up of.

If he has never seen a NI plate before how would he know?

How retarded are you to think everyone in the world is aware of every other countries number plate format?

Its an ex demo car by the Nissan main dealer - Shelbourne Motors - literally down the road from me.

Yes, generally cars over here tend to be a bit more expensive. I saved my FIL £1500 by getting him a car in Bootle and having it transportered over.

Depends on the car though - sometimes its a few hundred, sometimes more.

Why do you think it's a 'cheap personalised registration'?

Because the world ends at britains shoreline so the only logical explanation is that its a cheap personal plate.

Here's a clue: Northern Ireland isn't a different country. It's part of the same country as England, Wales and (currently) Scotland.

The UK is the country. E/S/W/NI are regions with pretentions. S might be a country in a bit. England was only ever a country for about 300 yrs, and half of that was under French rule.

And if you're going to claim otherwise, show me an English passport...
