Hasn't been the best year so far and not helped when I walked out the house earlier to see someone had thrown paint down the side of the car.
Why?
We have no grudges or enemies to our knowledge and yet ours was the only car on the street to be done???
It's only an 05 plate Clio, but still rattles my cage.
The pure stupidness of it frown

Is it emulsion? Surely a carwash will sort it if it is?

Luckily got nearly all if it off.
It's just the mentality of it that leaves me gob smacked!!!
Who randomly walks around in the early hours carrying a can of paint?

Bet it's not random.
1) did you shout at a kid in your street or round the corner from your car?
2) mistaken identity - someone with a similar model/reg pissed someone off?
3) play music a bit too loud from the car?
4) have loud parties?
5) park outside a neighbour's house in "their spot"?

They probably muttered, "This'll teach him a lesson!" but it won't because it's like slapping a kid round the back of the head and when they ask "What did you do that for?" you say "Not telling you."

Yeah it's ste isn't it? Some right tools around, I had the mirrors kicked off of my Clio at the start of a year - can't for the life of me think why either.

Arse holes man, arse holes.

aholes indeed!!!!!
Not shouted at anyone, don't play loud music etc, no problems with any neighbours, etc.
I suppose it's this that annoys me more, in my eyes I can't think of 1 reason for this.

I had this happen to me a while back, GLOSS PAINT.

Got my thinking cap on and by chance I'd seen someone lurking around, I was tempted to sort it myself being as I'm powerfully built but I told the police, he was arrested and charged with criminal damage.

Went to court, I testified and he was found guilty. Received a community service order and I was awarded £1000 damages.

Best part is that it's paid at £20 a month so it's 50 reminders for him of the error of his ways.

probably kids, we've recently had our cars ran over (footmarks all over roof n bonnet) and peni spray painted all down our drive and others down the street.

I highly doubt the paint throwing was a targeted incident but kids nowdays are getting much more sinister with pranks etc.

So what was the motive?

Two weeks previously I'd asked a lad wandering by to keep his do on a lead, he took objection and stormed off muttering things about "Ill sort you out"

I took a lot of pride in cleaning my car ( at the time a W12 Phaeton) and clearly he served his revenge cold.

Nothing since the incident though.

So it's worth wracking your brains as the simplest thing can bring out the vandal in some.

Probably just some random drunken tt who found some paint in a skip back home to the sthole they live.
Years back, i was staying around a girlfriends, heard a commotion and looked out to see 2 wasters running over my pickup. Of course by the time i got out, they were long gone . left half there kebab and 2 dents in the bonnet and roof.
I did consider driving around looking for them but glad i didnt now as i was that livid i would have literally driven straight over the top of them. Mind you, would have saved the DSS a few quid by now!

We are sure it's just random, bloody annoying though, especially to see others have suffered the same for no apparent reason!
Not GREAT Britain anymore.

Talking about having a bking for something you didn't know you did. I walked past my car in the car par k of the marina where I work and saw a piece of paper under one of my wipers. First thought was is a flyer, but none of the other cars had one. Pulled it out and in nice neat writing was "Stop driving like a tw@t please". I was with couple of boys from work and they seemed as concerned with as me. They said it wasn't them and I checked with everyone else in work (there's only 5 of us work there) and they all swore blind it wasn't them. So I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out if I'd upset anyone. There are a few grumpy locals about but I don't personally remember upsetting them. I then tried to think where else I could park and debated driving the Mrs car for a few weeks hoping to let things calm down and avoid my car being keyed. Talked to my best mate about it later the night and could sense something was up even over the phone. Turns out he popped down to his boat in the day and took the opportunity. I'm still trying to think of a good comeback.
