Böhmerland motorcycles - wow!

Watching Jay Leno guiding us through this years Pebble Beach a unnusual motorcycle called Böhmerland rolls by. I never heard of it ... but OMG what the F!

One of these is a regular visitor at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power. This is with Chris Williams of Packard-Bentley "Mavis" fame as passenger, but it did several demonstration runs with four on board.

"The Böhmerland was produced in several wheelbases; a two-seat 'Sport', a 3-seat 'Touren', and a 4-seat 'Langtouren'. An experimental machine built for the military seated 4 soldiers, and used two gearboxes, with the rear operated by a passenger, giving 9 ratios."

€65000 is a bit rich for me, unfortunately .

According to the article....

"Production stopped in 1939 and the last serial number used was 658.
The average yearly production was a little bit more than 40 machines, of which a few dozen are known to survive."
