Yep. A white Citroen AX, M271 WBH.

Sold it in a local newspaper nearly 4 years ago, haven't seen her since.

it was a top spec toyota carina, 3 years old, which had a lot of toys that where rare on normal cars of the time like central locking and electric widows

and it was a vile old dodgers luxo barge that would smoke the brakes if you tried to do 60-0 3 times in a row

its probably the reason i have a pathological hatred of barges now lol, i stuck loads of spot lights on it (fashion at the time) and a big spoiler on the boot lol

A 1990 Ford Fiesta 1.1L BNZ1726.

Sold for £50 sporting a massive oil leak and rust.

I don't miss it but do miss that initial feeling of freedom and adventure you get with your 1st car.

Rather embarrassingly my first car was a Fiat Panda A849 OWR.

At 17 it was the dogs bks to me.

Rust and head gasket failure killed it off in the end.

F reg Austin Mini Mayfair which I converted to 1275cc MG metro engine, loved it, didn't matter how hard you drove it, it just did everything you wanted it too.

It's fate - spent a day fitting a Cooper S 2nd fuel tank and some bd prized the fuel cap off and poured bag of sugar in it, I'd not noticed at first, drove it, killed the engine and being 19 at the time I didn't have the space, tools or money to repair it. Sold it for £50 to a friend of a friend he still has it now after 14 years but he's basically butchered it now frown

Youngsters...my first (in 1976) was a Triumph Vitesse 6. ASD242B. Cost me £80. It was running on 4 cylinders - not ideal for a straight 6. Got it sorted and ran it for 2 or 3 years. The adventures I had in that old car and the places I went with it!

Yeah I miss it like a 3rd armpit.

It was a rusty 1303 S VW beetle, it leaked water and smelled of exhaust gases as the heat exchangers were shot.

1999 Fiesta V212 GNO.

Caned it everywhere and it never missed a beat. Rusted away though! frown

I'd love to drive one again, I thought it was awesome at the time.

Yes I do. Sierra Sapphire GLS 2.0 Twin cam was my first car at 18. Sold it to a guy who was going to use the RS2000 16v engine that was fitted to it. Bought an XR4x4 to replace it. Should've taken the P/X offer of the RS16i with RS Turbo engine fitted.

Strangely i do miss mine, an 02 plate Peugeot 307. Fly wheel gave way on the motorway and took all manner of items out with it. Great little car that was. whenever i see one in same colour and spec i always check the reg plate to see if its mine. frown

I miss mine.

MK1 Capri 3.1 RS.

Hexagonal rod wore round, rod through block. Swapped for a P6 3500S.

Was just an apprentice then, didn't have enough knowledge/dosh to fix the RS.

This was back in the day when insurance was cheaper, however it was still expensive at 17, about 600 iirc, nowadays an equivalent car at 17 would be mega thousands.

Still crippled me though actually!

Had loads better cars since then but it was my first car.

Didn't have kids then, happy days...though it wouldn't be long...

Damn!

Same here - I miss the dodgy hairstyle more than the car.
