On the way to Hastings on Sunday morning I saw a superbike stop sideways in the road to prevent cars from moving while the rest of the biker group, about 15 or so, turned right off of the main road. I couldn't decide if it was a smart thing to do, or selfish. Nice bike though.

Not a necessary thing to do. Not really threadworthy either mind.

Interesting. I did wonder if it was, I've not see this behavior before and I hope not to see it again.

It was probably a smart thing to do..... It saved 15 other bikers playing Russian roulette with an oncoming car as they turned across its path... Therefore possible deaths were avoided....

Lots of bike groups do this, and it annoys some people.

Just make sure they're not Hells Angels, Outlaws or Patriots before you complain wink

I'm a biker but it's (sorry about the use of this word) cringeworthy - not so much the holding traffic up, just the sheer.. pretentiousness/self importance of it.

Never seen anyone but what appear to be gangs of bank managers and accountants with bandannas and tassles trying to look badass on Harleys doing it - sportsbikes are a new one on me.

If they aren't competent enough to exit a junction without unlawful assistance they should have their licence cancelled.

Selfish aholes. Should be kicked in the balls for being trumped up sts. Give real riders a bad name.

If you can't turn right without the possibility of dying, I think a bus would be a better option

The risk of turning right on a busy road is never going to be because you pulled out in front of something.
