Caravan left outside
Discussion
Bit of a weird one here and just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation before?
During the summer (mid June) a caravan was parked up over the road from our house. I thought it may have been one of the neighbours so didn't take much notice as it left a few days later. Then returned within the week. Noticed a small 4x4 that doesn't belong to anyone in our street unloading it and securing it and no one has been near it since.
Other than it looking like s
t it's taking up what little parking there is for anyone visiting . Is there anyway a owner can be traced or anyone that can trace the owner?
Failing that doesn't anyone want to borrow "my mates" caravan?

Caravans aren't vehicles as such, and as a result, don't fall under road traffic law for the purpose of being abandoned.
However, local authority/environmental health are the people you need to speak to. When i've dealt with them, they've usually had it towed away within a week or two.

Didn't see a plate on it when I passed but there is a piece of cardboard in the window maybe with a reg number drawn on it?
It's a bit of a portacabin on wheels. All tatty and covered in s
t from being parked under a tree. Did have a google before but most of the answers were from a over night point of view.

Better still, find a Transit/Transit pick up who use a bugle and tell them. Guaranteed to be either weighed in or refurbished ,but gone in hours. The ex girlfriend lived in a cup-de-sac that had little parking,a
that lived opposite had a large caravan that he left further up the road taking up three spaces. He moved house but the caravan stayed,he was told to move it but never did so the fil and i wound up the stabilising legs at the rear and pushed it along the road, after a few nights we had pushed it out of the close and left it in the middle of the road. We then wound the legs right down, went in doors and phoned the police to report a caravan that was parked in a dangerous place. We then all parked in the space the caravan was in so it couldn't come back.
