Help/Advice needed- building a float valve for a heater
Discussion
Hi and I hope it's OK to post this here as it's not really related to cars!
I've been given a diesel-fired heater for a boat and I want to get it up and running. It works on a drip-feed principle, fed from a little device that provides a constant head. The innards of this have totally seized up and I need to rebuild it. What I want to do is use some sort of float valve to regulate the diesel supply into the little tank, basically a miniature version of a header tank with a ball cock.
Can anybody help out? I need to find a little float valve that would cope with diesel, I'm hoping this won't cost very much as it seems a very simple idea to me
Thanks!
Bob
