There isn't enough space to fit most normal cars up to the line without being on the "Keep Clear" markings - in the Streetview, even a Corsa is too big -

What is one supposed to do here - stop short of the "Keep Clear"?

Just stop like the cars infront of the Google Van have, so that people can get on/off their drive like they wanted to?

If the back overhangs, then you can only do your best confused

In either of my (roadworthy!) cars, I'd be making it almost impossible for the householder to get onto his drive if I stopped where the Corsa is - and he looks a bit far forward.

Which for many vehicles, would be about 30 metres short of the stop line.........

Markings such as those are advisory only (unlike yellow box markings).

As in the picture - the Corsa can always move forward a bit if it's in the way.

Its amazing how few people take any notice of such things!
I used to live here

Obviously the yellow box is meant to allow access to the car park, however 99% of the time people totally ignored it, so if you approached and wanted to turn right into the carpark you couldn't, which then blocked the traffic lights and junction.
Then they wouldn't even have the brans to move forwards so you could go behind and allow traffic to move again until the lights changed to green.

If you ever tried to explain they were sat in a yellow box you either got a blank look or abuse.
They could make a fortune from fines off the box if there was a camera like the London ones!

Drive up to the further stop line, after the green box, on the basis it is not possible to stop at the advance one.

Stopping before the Keep Clear markings could well ensure that the traffic lights never change in your favour!
