E92 330i - what to follow?

Evening all,
The first year of ownership of my 330i coupe has been great. It is quick, balanced, comfortable enough, frugal enough, 100% reliable (so far) and in my opinion good to look at.
However, I can't decide what should come next (I.e. what I can start saving and scouring the classifieds for).
I'm looking at - fast (5 or under to 60 ideally), 25mpg (as circa 10k a year), special if possible, 2 door (whether coupe or sports car) and all for circa £15k.
I've come up with:
- E92 M3 - too pricey
- 997 - too pricey
- 996 - scary issues and interior v. dated
- XKR - very heavy, not too frugal
- Elise 111R - full on for 10k pa
What do you think?
(My other options include keeping the current car long term and looking for a cheap track car I.e. e36 328i)
