Drove over uneven road surface, concerned of damaging the su
Discussion
Sorry for asking many questions but my mind is filled with concern.
I live in the UK and I was doing about 20mph on this road when I noticed it was an uneven road surface which was unavoidable.
The repaired fillings of the road shown on the picture have all disappeared due to cheap repair.
I'm worried of damaging the suspension, shock absorbers, tyres or car mechanical components of the car.

Or if there is no available alternative route, drive over it as fast as your car will go.
The less time your wheels have to go over the uneven surface the less time your suspension has to take any damage.

Sadly that is the only route I can travel and I don't know what to doThe less time your wheels have to go over the uneven surface the less time your suspension has to take any damage.

Yeah, bumps and lumps in the road are a pain - if you take them gently and don't go hammering through them then you'll minimise the risk of damage but of course can't remove that risk altogether.I live in the UK and I was doing about 20mph on this road when I noticed it was an uneven road surface which was unavoidable.

Report the damage to the local council and explain that their previous repair hasn't held.

The "Problem" is we have to pay our own expenses for repairs which was caused by roads due to uneven roads, potholes and yes you can contact the council but most of them will deny or think of an excuse

t wears out, suck it up. Either that or tell me your plan you make all roads as low friction as possible so my tyres don't wear down.

We pay our road taxes ever year and all we see is roads being temporary repaired with just a filling and council not forking out their money to get the whole road refurbished

Drive in Bristol, that'll make the roads there look like silk. The road's are shyte at best! Everyday I have to drive around an unavoidable roundabout with 5 inch deep potholes. What do I do? Slow down or straddle the,. If in the case that I can't I slow to a sensible speed and drive over carefully. What you're showing I wouldn't slow down for, it's a bump, that's all.Even the motorways and A roads are appalling.
That appears to be a 3 lane road?
I would either drive on the far right, or far left as close to the kerb possible, as that's where the road seems to be in the best condition.
Then only one side of the car will be suffering the most damage, come repair time, you will only have to fix one side, therefore saving 50% on your repair bills
