Just read this and I find it a bit odd.
They say don't drive the car but check the Vauxhall home page tomorrow and the help line will be open tomorrow.
What do you do if your wife/husband/son/daughter etc. is out in one now?
Saying don't drive it but we'll give you more information tomorrow is very strange.

Its a legal thing, they don't want a serious injury/death claim on their hands. Given there hasn't been an accident so far one presumes its theoretical, but its serious enough for them to issue that warning.
If someone is out in one their advice would be to park it and find alternative transport home.
I guess they will recover affected vehicles to dealers for remedial work.
Whats the betting they've just found a batch of a component supplied by a third party to be defective and QA only just caught it.

What if the person driving hasn't seen/heard the news - difficult one I know and I don't have an answer.
But imagine if your nearest and dearest was out in one now how would you feel?
If the are going to recover the cars then why not say so? OK it is likely to be the BBC poor reporting!
But I still question why they are waiting until the morning to give customers an answer.
