Does anyone have experience of taking a 'Green' car on salary sacrifice, from a company like Tusker?

The lease is up on my company car (Audi A3). I'm thinking getting a Golf Estate to put the kids in, and can get one as a company car. However, as of next week I have the alternative option of getting a 'Green' car on lease from Tusker through salary sacrifice. My maths suggest that the same Gold Estate would be over £1500 cheaper for me every year. That's a lot of money saved on an identical car.

Our Head of Comp & Bens thinks my maths is right, but I nervous to take the plunge in case I've overlooked something. As it is brand new for my company there is no precedent.

Thanks in advance

I think we're getting a 'green' scheme soon so I'd be interested to see the maths.

Don't you pay a (pre tax) lease figure and then some benefit in kind tax aswell?

Not sure how it could work out cheaper than a traditional company car?

The calculations are on my work laptop. I'll try and dig them out and post tomorrow

Don't know your individual figures, but Tusker are very reputable.

What about tyres and servicing? Is that covered by Tuskers?
That's usually what swings me back to taking a company car; no concerns over tyres, servicing or insurance.

Its all covered - tyres, insurance, servicing, everything!

I'd still be hopeful of a reply from someone who has actually taken this decision
