Good evening all,

My question relates to replacing consumables on an RS 250 CUP with pads and discs being the main ones.

The car has got 24k on it so will need the front pads and discs replacing soon.

I've replaced discs and pads on the old car and also do servicing on the motorbike and just write it in.

I wonder, due to this being a performance car, would it hurt resale value's if I did it myself?

Obviously you don't get a stamp saying 'discs and pads' changed by dealer, would a simple receipt suffice?

It just seems pointless paying someone to do a job at £100ph or however much for a job I can happily do myself.

I still intend to keep a full renault service history.

Thanks!

Adam

Keep all the info you can on it yourself if your thinking resale, hell take pictures of you doing it and what to do, so the next owner can replace stuff too biggrin

Stating the obvious but use genuine or upgraded items, not motor factor generics. Keep receipts, etc.

Cant really see a problem.
