I was thinking about this before, I genuinely can't remember the last time I bought fuel from anywhere other than 2 Tesco stations, I think it might have been when I had my Z4 in 2011 I went to a BP, I suppose it's out of convenience.

Do people stick to a certain place or look for a particular chain / brand or just not arsed?

When I am in my own cul de sac then it's the same place.

If I am out away then wherever.

Generally yes - its cheap, closest place to our house so supporting local business, usually not too bad to wait for the fuel

Otherwise its a distressed purchase elsewhere

Wife and I both have bp fuel cards so while the station changes the chain is always the same

I always use the same Shell station, if I'm away from home and need fuel I'll still stick to Shell where possible.

Last 3 tanks, 2 from Tesco and 1 from Esso. I just buy from wherever the urge takes me/whatever is most convenient on the particular journey.

If I can I use my local Shell. I have a points card and I'm yet to find a cheaper petrol station in my travels.

Don't use anywhere else other than Rainhill Shell.
Pass it twice a day so it's quite handy.

My car takes 98 octane so its Shell for me and Tesco when Shell is unavailable. In other cars then wherever is cheapest.

Only because of convenience. Apart from using super unleaded, I couldn't give a st between what logo is on the pump.

Generally I fill up once a week at my local shell.

No retards doing weekly shop, clogging up the forecourt because they can't get the right side for their filler cap and its usually empty 5mins done...

I also seem to get abit better mileage on the shell stuff too.

Generally yes since I've had the 9-5. There's a Shell station just round the corner from work, and another not too far from home. I also have a points card so get vouchers every so often, and I'm sure I've read that V-power is the ideal fuel for the engine in mine. Might just be poppycock, but if it's working well, no need to change smile

Used Sainsbury's fuel for many years, it's nearby.

I generally buy from Shell, because they give me money off vouchers, and the MPG is marginally better than various other places I've bought from. But with their recent clubcard offer Tesco is currently proving better value overall.

Generally - just the local Sainsburys or Tesco. If I am away then I have a 700 mile tank range on long runs so unless it's Scotland or something then I can just fill up when I get home.

Shell or Esso for the points. No BP (nectar) on my regular journeys.

Was always Shell V-power unip club card full save. I work at tesco so end up with 20 off a litre at every fill. So until it ends I'll be filing up at tesco.

Always use BP. My Focus ST (which I have had since new in 2008), has never had any supermarket fuel put in it.

After hearing of the engine problems at Tesco a few years ago, due to dodgy fuel, I never go to Supermarket forecourts now.
