Hullo folks.

Went to Halfords today to get said product, found out they don't actually seem to sell it anymore, nor is it on their website, short of reviews.
Basically it's the only thing I can seem to find that will definitely remove rain repellent from windscreen.

Anyone know where I can either still buy some of this, or something that is exactly the same/will have the same effect?

And no, meths, white spirit, vinegar, AG glass polish, intensive tar remover, etc haven't worked for me.

Thanks!

Have you tried IPA (Iso Propanol Alcohol) watered down with some distilled water? Works a treat and is relatively inexpensive.

Why so you need to remove it? Been thinking of getting some, is there a problem I'm unaware of?

Try some "time" on it. It's usually a healer.

Sometimes it simply goes smeary, and because what hasn't been worn away by the wipers is bonded to the glass it is very hard to get the screen truly clean.

I've still got some of the Halfords one, and it was the only thing I could find that actually got the screen back to clean glass. Solvents don't do much because the compound is silicone based.
