Mech. Eng - final year project suggestions?

Hi all,
I am currently at University studying my final year of a Mechanical Engineering degree. As part of my final year, I will be taking on a project related to my field of study. I would like to base and focus my project within engineering sector of the automotive industry. Therefore, I would highly appreciate if fellow members and automotive enthusiasts will engage in my request to seek some advice/opinions and help out with a few suggestions. As an initial idea, I am thinking of possibly improving a component within the drive train system to possibly improve drivetrain losses and/or stresses. Although, I am open to any suggestions. I currently have experience in CAE softwares such as design and stress analysis. Any input would be much appreciated.

Well considering you will probably need to submit your preliminary report by the end of next week you need to get a move on.

Firstly paragraphs are very important. As for the subject my advise would be pick what you think your good at, when it was me it was CAD.
