Blimey, that some skills right there!
Not really I can still see them but the owner was happy , by the way the kit I used is this and I've been doing it a while http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/rupes/Rupes-LHR15-B...

I have a DAS-6 as well but the Rupes has a bit more "guts" for jobs like thisI've got a DAS-6 but Ive never had the stones to sand and polish like that.
The rules is if you can feel the scratch with a finger nail it wont polish out, however polishing may still make it look better
I presume you've tried by hand? Although many experts perhaps quite rightly question the benefit of hand polishing, I've had some success with minor scratches and a bit of elbow grease. If that doesn't work then I would have thought a good local bodyshop would give an honest quote? I recently had small dents and scratches in my car's front wing and passenger door quoted at £900 from a large body shop that do insurance quotes etc, but I got two quotes from local bodyshops for £300, and the place I had it done at even provided a courtesy car for that money - the results are superb and that was quite a lot of work I had done; I suspect a good place would be honest if it just needed a polish to come out.
