So here comes another TRD effort. Except at least there are some worthwhile changes. Looks quite racey (in a good way). Perhaps if they had increased power a little (~250hp) it could've been the GT3 of the GT86 range. But that can quite easily be done with tuning. Bonnet and bootlid should be carbon too though More here.

Nice.

Not sure about the big wing though. Not really necessary considering what the car is about.

These 86's are growing on me more everyday.

Wow, this is a beautiful machine. I bet that this goes around corners like a wundermachine. They have made surprisingly heavy modifications and i'm wondering can you buy this stuff separately for your own not-a-special-made gt86.

Edit: How much this thing weights? Under 1200 kilos?

Smells of marketing to me....not giving enough to the cusomter who will no doubt have to pay through the nose for it.

Looks fantastic. Needs more power and to lose that plastic fantastic interior. The seats remind me of a Nissan 100NX. Remember them?!?

I believe most of the stuff is already in the market. Toyota TRD sell the buckets/steering wheel althogh with red accents. Quite like the look of the front bumper.

It's actually based on the TRD Griffon concept which clocked a 0:58 around Tsukuba. Although that was 230hp/980kg. This is probably about 50 less than a base car, if not a little more.

I believe most of the stuff is new. Atleast magnesium wheels, suspension, bushes, both braces, aero package, exhaust and the modifications for the engine. Those seats can be new too, cos they are "lightweight bucket seats". Regular TRD bucket seats are not that light if i remember correctly. There is a quite a lot of small and big modification in this car. This can be a performance monster in track and sounds very race ready. This is a very, very interesting car. Makes me baffled that they actually did make this. smile
