Interesting.

A £12k BMW S1000RR would probably have been just as fast as the Duke if not a bit faster.

Thanks ... 918 faster up to 110-120, so In real world on roads .....
Shame Ferrari wouldn't play

A good showing from the Ducati considering it's still a V-Twin and not the best engine configuration for ultimate straight line power.
Will be interesting what the new supercharged Kawasaki can make of this challenge. smile

Interesting just how much faster the P1 is above 150mph than the 918, not sure why?

Surface obviously not terribly sticky given 0-60 and 0-30 times

Yup, there is a seperate thread running on this one!


RE 918 > 150mph, the front axle motors don't have multispeed gearboxes, so at high speed they are well past their peak power speed, unlike for the P1, which has it's entire powerunit behind the gearbox.
