Since I was at college I have been buying up small erde type trailers and selling em on after ironing out problems, always buy em with trouble and fix em up.

The money I have made from this is then spent on goodwood / le mans and trips to the ring, so essentially pocket money

What wold you say the best time of year to sell em is, spring autum or some other

I have a bit of land that is secure so storing them is not an issue

I think the best person qualified to answer you question is someone who has done this sort of thing before. You know, someone who buys old trailers (usually with faults), fixes them up and then resells? They'll have real experience of selling and will be able to advise you on what has worked for them previously.

I don't know where you would fine such a person though. Perhaps someone on here will know.

my god there's some fking unhelpful smartarse s on here, arent there?

OP - you could argue it both ways. Winter might be better due to the amount of winter project cars being shuttled to and fro. Summer might be better due to the amount of things being carted off to shows. Overall, I dont really think there would be that much in it - any difference would probably be fairly negligible. Its not like trying to sell a 4x4 in summer or a convertible in winter. I'd just sell them as and when you finish them, tbh, and take the money!

There are quite a few delicate little flowers who get ever so upset a lot too.

It was an amusing reply. Not offensive, and I'm pretty sure intended as a joke.

It was also a damn sight more helpful that yours. "I don't know" sums yours up.

The other one, quite rightly, says "you know what chum, you're probably better equipped to know that yourself, after all you're the trailer dude!" But in a witty way.

Humour is subjective so you're not obliged to find it funny.

Being so easily offended and calling people s is just annoying though.

+1

I would have thought trailers sell all year round. Dont see any reason why you would attempt to stock pile them

I've bought and sold a few trailers - time of year is irrelevant

I used to do it full time, time or year was largely irrelevant. I used to sell on eBay mainly though with no reserve so price fluctuated a bit anyway. Branded stuff usually goes for the same money all day long as long as the condition is OK - condition doesnt play as big a part as you might think though!. Some stuff such as Ifor can sell for the same without accessories such as ramps which you can then sell separately.
