'stealing' a parking space.
Discussion
Little confrontation this morning and I'd just like PHers thoughts, Was I in the wrong?
In the multi story of a shopping centre this morning, I was following a suzuki sx4 around the rows looking for a space. We come to the end of a row, he does the 180 around the end and turns down the next row.
As I turn out of the end of previous row I see a lady heading back her car which is parked at the start of the new row. So I waited inbetween the rows to allow her to back out and drive away(one way system so she drives away from me down the row), I go behind her and into the parking space.
As I got out and walked away I notice the suzuki has stopped about 5-6 cars down the new row, with his reverse light on. He then leans out the window and gives me abuse for 'stealing his space'
Thing is I couldn't see down the new row to notice that he had stopped and was intending on reversing into new space.
So was I wrong?

I wouldn't do that in Andover, they take parking space pinching very seriously :-)
