Best place to advertise a Fiesta?

Depends on the value, if it's a couple of thousand or less then Gumtree is fine and free(but most people are looking for a bargain on there). Any more than that then pay for the ad . Less than that, try Facebook, lots of local 'cars for sale' Facebook pages for the lowest end stuff but tend to be some dodgy people on them , just search 'cars for sale and the area /town you live in' on your facebook page.
I'd whack it on eBay. Great photos, good honest description, no phrases like "first to see will buy" or "fully loaded".
You've got an unlimited amount of space to use, and I think as manyhotos as you want too.
I hate eBay with a passion, except for eBay motors which I think works very well.
Chuck it on at £2750, invite offers.

I sold my car last week via PH (last weeks shed of the week Celica!)
I also advertised on Gumtree...but all the enquiries came from PH, which did surprise me. So I would go with the free options first. eBay costs at least £15 now.
I did get a lot of scam emails though.
Good pictures of a clean car in a nice setting will yield results. Pictures of a dirty car outside a council house will not!

Autotrader every time for me, particularly for run of the mill cars. The trick is not to be too greedy with the price. I aim to be on the first page when compared to cars the same age, spec and mileage within say 50 miles. If its something a bit more interesting you can afford to be a little bit more ambitious - IMO.
The last three cars I've sold have gone within the week. My rationale is that most people will check Autotrader but not necessarily PH or Ebay.
However if you get a free Add it can't hurt, i just missed the cut and when I've paid in the past the sale has come either from Autotrader or someone that had seen it on both.

Ebay seems to have taken over as the main site for people to look at cars these days, autotrader is comparatively expensive (£50 or so vs. £15 to advertise on ebay) and in my experience solicits far fewer responses. Either way, seller beware, you will get messed around a great deal and don't assume a deal is good until you have cleared proceeds in hand.
