Looking for something vaguely 4x4 'ish as where we live is off the beaten track and can get quite snowy in the winter. Also for the kids they are perfect height for lifting in and out, so not up for a debate on the moral choice of a 4x4 and winter tyres etc!

Shortlist is down to

VW Tiguan (R line)
Nissan Juke Nismo
X3 2.0 tdi

Wildcard - Lexus CTh (Ive just read all the poor reviews!)

Has anyone had any experience of these. I picked the nismo as its supposed to be a bit of a laugh to drive. My thoughts are go for the Tiguan but has anyone had any experience??

We have a v8 for go faster days so doesnt need to be that rapid. All big RR and ML's are out as she doesnt want to pay high tax etc.

The Juke is tiny

Have you also considered the Audi Q3, Merc GLA or Mazda CX7?
