Never seen such a bunch of rubbish in my life. I more or less spent my whole day off between their 2 branches. A whole bloody day for an oil change!!

Most of them are about 16 and have no clue what they were doing. I more or less stood there the whole time watching them.

They overfilled it. And broke my dipstick tube holder. Bloody broke it!! And to top it all off they broke they replacement!!

Well done guys.

I find they can vary quite a lot - the Aberdeen branch are excellent and I have had no problems what so ever with them, but a different branch (which I won't name) are shocking.

Hope you got it all sorted in the end?

Yes they did. Well the other branch did as I wasn't going to return to the 1st one. But I won't be going back- never ever have I have seen such incompetence and bad service.

Are any of those fast fit chains decent?

I tried to do this many years ago. Booked and paid online.

Branch manager phoned and told me he couldnt do it, as it didn't include the oil my car needed. I informed it did, and that it confirmed it did on my confirmation email. Again, he refused.

Called head office for a refund. They convinced me not to and rang the branch.

Branch manager called again and said could I book the car. I said no problem and picked 10am on a Saturday.

Duly turned up at 10am on a Saturday to be told to leave the keys with them and they'd have it done by 5pm. Quite what he thought I'd do with no car in the middle of an industrial estate for 7 hours on a Saturday when I'd turned up to a fast fit centre for a prebooked appointment for a 15 minute job I've no idea. I declined and left and eventually got a refund.

Seemed fairly obvious the branch in question simply didn't want to provide me with 6.5 litres of Castrol Edge for what was then £29.95.

Do you REALLY need to ask? No, they're not. Never have been. Never will be.

Saw an offer for a MOT for £30 from Kwik Fit. Booked online at Maidstone branch. Checked the car out - lights, tyres etc so it wouldn't fail on a technicality. MOT tester was thorough. Branch manager a decent guy to deal with and no upselling.
