i can understand many of the points he is making, but it's not exactly a very friendly approach is it?

I doubt that many people looking at spending £400k would do so privately either!

Agreed. A car that expensive, you'd let a prestige dealer handle the riff-raff and timewasters.

I might ask him what's his best price, for 'cash', then see if he'll accept my old Focus as deposit and can I pay the rest in £100 monthly instalments.

Nice car, and I agree with his points although you'd expect him to have put a little more about the car itself in the advert. The photos are pretty crap too, for a car of that standard.

It must be the only rear-engined CGT in existence.

"Don't ask me for info"? How else is a prospective buyer supposed to conduct a due diligence?

I'd buy it if I didn't work off-shore on an oil rig.

I guess if you have something that rare you can afford to be a bit of a knob about it.

Or he doesn't really want to sell and is just having a speculative punt / showing his other half it's 'for sale'..

I particularly like the comment 'do not ask me for info'.

He should add that if you want to buy it he'll need to punch you in the face first.

edit to add: he should probably be more interested in people taking photos of his car, they'd doubtless work better in his advertisement than his own st pics. biggrin

Guessing the owner is the father of an F1 driver
If so, he has the reputation 'round these parts (Stevenage/Welwyn) of being a bit of a knob

So rare that there's only another half dozen for sale on this very website? That's without opening up Europe to see what's for sale and having an epic road trip back biggrin
