I have been wanting to do this ever since i swapped the diff from 3.45 to a 3.08 in my TVR Chimaera.

Heres my run at Elvington this week.

In car https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy32MM0P2rQ

and dodgy filming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUMkZ3vr2_I

I was hoping to hit 170 so over the moon with 176.5 (with a good tailwind i have to admit)

Wondering how many others have tried this? Makes a change from the usual 1/4 mile.

Did it in my Evo at RAF Marham, well 30-130 and held until I bottled it as I needed to stop at the end of the runway.

Weather was appalling and stopping was an issue as the runway was very wet and they RAF were very worried about anyone hitting the lights at the end , big repair bills had been threatened.

Would like to do it again some time

This and 1/4 mile drag strip running are something I'd like to do. I reckon de-limited my car might make 160mph at the mile mark...

Be careful drag strips can be highly addictive.
