Tools provided with car!
Discussion
I've never had to change a tire before so first time today. Only to discover what a waste of weight the manufacturer provided wrench is! Seriouy I may as well have had a pipe cleaner first but and it bent straight away followed shortly by it stripping its thread and becoming airborne! A walk to the garage and the loan of some proper kit and 5 minutes later the space saver is on, not much better I think I'd rather drive on the flat!
My Jaguar X300 came with a set of tools under the bonnet that had never been opened. I used them to tighten a squeaky belt and do a few other little jobs at the side of the road, which I was very pleased about. I have since found that you can sell them on eBay for quite a bit if they are still sealed

Mines very good.
Decent wheel brace with a hinge in the middle of the handle, so you have more leverage undoing than doing up. A useful knurled threaded stud which you can insert 1st to line the wheel up, then unscrew it once you have a couple of wheel bolts in. Even the pillar jack is a good solid easy to use thing.
OP are you a bit American with your tires and wrenchs?

I was talking to someone recently who paid extra when he bought the car to have a spare wheel (instead of nothing) and he then found that they don't supply a jack because 'the car is too big for amateurs to be jacking up safely' - Japanese soft roader thing, not particularly big.
If I have a car that doesn't have a decent wrench I take a socket and extension bar having once been stuck in the work carpark with nuts I couldn't undo because of numptys with a windy gun.
I also check the nuts now after I've had tyres fitted to be sure they aren't over tightened.

My e39 came with a whole toolkit built into a fold down tray in the bootlid
came with a first aid kit and fire extinguisher too. Do current BMW's have this? Or just a can of tyre foam?
We have a 1 series as our work's pool car, and I had a glance in the toolkit. It consists of a towing eye.
