The missus is using the practical car to get to and from the airport and ive been left with her 1 series Conv for 4 days and managed to fit my sons 20" wheeled BMX and his scooter in it for a trip to the skate park so got me thinking. Whats your best effort:-

That's a cool effort. Although it seems like the driver likes to spill their coffee in the morning. smile

There's no way I'd put a bike in the back of my car.

It'll scuff the leather and every bump will take its toll, you can be super careful but it'll mark it.

I managed 2 x 3mtr lengths of worktop in an MGB GT years ago. The chap who worked in the DIY shop gave me a very strange look when we got out to the car park and asked which car was mine!

I chuck my dh bike in the back of my Civic Type R every weekend. Shock horror for using a car as a useful object.

32" CRT TV, roof down, passenger seat up as much as it'd go, tied to the roll bar

52" rear-projection TV in the back of... a Daewoo Matiz.

I was giving my mate a lift to Curry's and he fell in love with the heavily-discounted TV. It had no box (just wrapped in bubblewrap), but even so it was pretty big and the assistant said there was NO chance it would fit, and it just slid in perfectly under the shelf mounted speakers...

Great until it pisses it down. Then you're 15 miles from home with an Ikea wardrobe sticking out of your car, a soaking wet interior and the derision of everyone in sight. frown
