Often on my way to work, between Tetbury and Cirencester (A433) I see new Jags, always on trade plates often before they are relased.

About 6 months ago I saw an F type coupe before they were released traveling rather quickly followed by an XFR-S.

Last week i saw a white F Type Convertible with the front end in black and white swirl camoflauge, and then about 5 minutes later saw 2 Land Rover Discovery Sports

A couple of days ago i saw a black F Type Coupe with lightning style camo all over it.

Surely if they were going to a dealership they wouldnt be camoed and would probably be on a transporter.

Is this road part of a test route for new cars?

Its a regular circuit for the test engineers out that way, you can easily tell it's them there's two easy give a ways.
1. It's camoflagued.
2. The drivers normally hooning it.

Why do they always hoon the test cars? You can't get near them on the M5.

not sure if serious ¬_¬

Get a powerful car, which you probably can't afford, little chance of being caught, car will probably be scrapped within a year.. what would you do?

Saw an F-Type in camo on the M4 a few months before the official release. He was taking it quite easy!

I live in Warminster and often see JLR cars being tested on the A36 - must have seen 6 in the last week alone.

No. They use the swirls etc. to disguise the shape of the car.

These will be often next years models/facelifts or just test mules where they are testing different features maybe for even different models.

wink

indeed

the average punter wouldn't look twice at an 'unknown' facelift, certainly wouldn't take pics

the swirly car will get all the cameras out and pics sent in to Auto Express etc

a plain cover up of light shapes etc with black tape is the subtle compromise

Used to see all sorts of shonky JLRs parked outside my old place. This one was by far the shonkiest though with it's gaffer tape windows!

I still remember the day a few years ago when the new XJ was undergoing on-road testing and they were spotted in Aberdeen of all places. There was a guy so desperate to get photos (probably to try to submit to autocar or the like) that he was running along Aberdeen's highstreet with his tongue hanging out, mobile phone in one hand and dragging his missus in the other. She was not best pleased.

I figured it must be, alot of the time the sportier cars are going fast. Just seemed strange they were so far out of coventy.
