Back in the summer I was considering buying a CLS and was then drawn to the Passat CC.

Ostensibly it seemed to offer much that the Merc did but at a lower price. I didn't take the plunge on either but actually spoke to someone who did, regretted buying the CC because he always felt he'd compromised in every area and thus didn't appreciate the saving.

Anyone else have any similar comparisons of cars?

I've heard the Peugeot RCZ referred to as the Aldi TT which is a decent example.

Civic Type S vs Civic Type R. Chrysler 300C vs a Bentley.

You're not fooling anyone.

I actually had a Chrysler 300C and the number of people who asked me if it was a Bentley was a lot. So, plenty of people were fooled though that wasn't my intention.

Think they're great looking car too - Peugeot are knocking out some decent looking stuff these days. Sadly they seem to be pricing their cars in line with the German equivalents though frown

I always thought it was imitating the Rover P5.
