Hiring a nice car (Jaguar?). Driver under 25
Discussion
As above. We've got a long journey coming up (Birmingham to roughly Inverness and back). I'd like to rent a car rather than use mine and I would like something like a Jaguar XF rather than 'Ford Focus or similar'.
As I've written in the title, one of the drivers is 22. I doubt that it'll be possible and I should just think up an alternative idea, but does anyone know of somewhere that would let a 22 year old drive?

most of the main companies can charge a small premium to let any younger drivers be added onto policy (well, 21-25, not sure under 21). run a search on carhire3000 and see what comes up.
in my experience the real cost is the actual car itself, regardless of age. premium cars i've found to be really pricey, £100s per day. though i don't usually hire cars in the UK so maybe its better here...

I was happy with the price Avis gave me for 3 days in an XF 2.2d (£426 I think), but reading their terms and conditions they wouldn't allow anyone under 25 to drive it. in my experience the real cost is the actual car itself, regardless of age. premium cars i've found to be really pricey, £100s per day. though i don't usually hire cars in the UK so maybe its better here...
Thanks for recommending that site, looks like we can get an E-Class (or similar, of course) for around £200. That will do!
I ticked that there is a driver outside the 25-70 range and it didn't reject us, so I suppose that should be ok?
